Job Purpose
- Supply Chain Manager is in charge to define and apply adequate supply chain strategy to support the growth in all areas related with UA business
- Responsible to manage all aspects of the department to ensure best service level at optimal cost and best quality
- Supply Chain Manager is responsible to manage the trade offs between Working Capital, Service Level, Operating Cost and complexity and deliver optimal results.
SCM leads the following activities and groups
- Supply Chain Planning:
- Material Planning and Procurement: Raw and Pack Material Planning and procurement activities
- Logistics and Warehousing,
- Customer Service
Main tasks
- Management of forecasting and demand planning group (operational and long term)
- Short and long term forecasts are available and inline with company strategy
- Develop systems to provide forecast accuracy
- Daily, Weekly demand plans are converted to production plans
- Periodical reviews and revisions on safety and operating stocks
- Integration of marketing and sales plans as well as account specific activities
- Management of inventory levels for Finished products and Raw/Pack mat
Management of Logistics Group - Warehousing and distribution network clearly defined and optimized in terms of cost, service and reliability
- Coordination of purchasing activities for logistics service providers
- Management of department budgets and spendings
- Coordinate and follow up all Supply Chain activities, make sure that processes and reportings are in place
- Coordinate customer service tasks and make sure that all CRM activities are applied
- Coordination of monthly, quarterly and yearly Supply Chain reviews. Strategies are developed and deployed into the organization, everyone involved in projects
Required experience and skills
- 5+ years experience in similar sector with advanced SCM techniques
- Experience and good knowledge of Algerian market (customers, logistics providers)
- Knowledge of distribution models and techniques, Knowledge on warehousing
- Experience in managing complex groups
- IT, language skill, negotiation, excellent interpersonal skills, Project management skills
