Key accountabilities for this role include:
- Leading the strategic supplier relationships with key vendors.
- Working across the various functions to ensure consistent and clear supplier communications.
- Ensuring consistency of approach with regards to processes and procedures impacting designated relationships.
- Coordinating any improvement and development activities impacting designated strategic suppliers.
- Supporting any engagement with the designated key supplier to ensure consistency in approach and maximizing the benefit for Rolls-Royce.
- Monitoring cost, quality and delivery performance of designated suppliers.
- Acting as a key senior point of escalation from Rolls-Royce.
- Leveraging for mutual benefits with regards to cross-sector sourcing decisions.
- Responsible for ensuring commercial negotiations with designated suppliers are carried out in line SRM strategy.
Qualifications and experience
- Degree in engineering, supply-chain or business administration.
- Experience in operating Supplier Relationship Management at executive level in direct purchasing generated through work with one or more of the following: marine / automotive / power & energy / aerospace industry
- Experience in cross-functional working and leadership of cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional project management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage multiple end-to-end project cycles
- Super strong work ethic, high motivation and the ability to challenge the status-quo
- Process oriented with excellent communication, organization/time management and problem solving skills.
- Ability to effectively influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of organization.
- Proven track record of delivering results in favorable and unfavorable conditions.
- Experience in strategic planning and industry analysis at executive level.
- Extraordinary drive for results.
- Willingness to travel regionally and internationally.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
