Mission
- Development and implementation of a global purchasing strategy.
- Driving the introduction of common purchasing methods (KPIs, analytical tools, etc.).
- Coordination of important purchasing activities and major projects between the different sites. Interface with other business functions (especially R&D and production) and the purchasing departments of the international sales and service companies.
- Coaching of the employees currently responsible for purchasing in the different production sites.
- Coordinating the purchasing departments of the sales and service companies.
Requirements
- Ideally 10 years working experience (minimum 5 professional years in strategic procurement) in mid-size companies with mechanical manufacturing in an international environment.
- Proven leadership and people skills to drive change in a matrix organization.
- Sufficiently strong technical background in order to efficiently discuss with R&D and Production.
- Strong initiative taker with follow through to execution
- Convincing communicator, result orientation, autonomous.
- Higher degree (Diploma or Master) or equivalent education, preferably but not necessary in Business Administration, Engineering or related studies (e.g.Wirtschaftsingenieur)
- Fluent in German and English and at least some basic French knowledge.
