Due to the reorganization program and development opportunities they are looking for a professional Plant Purchasing Manager .
Mission
- Ensuring the necessary materials, tools and services for the operation of the company for a total budget of $ 90 million : Supplier management from sourcing to contract, negotiation with existing and new suppliers in Coordination with Commodity Managers, development of contracts in relation with the Commodity managers. Implementation and regular review of Contracts.
- Ensuring good quality and on-time delivery of the supplied products : achieving budget targets of suppliers PPM and OTD, co-coordinating quality activity of suppliers, managing suppliers' audit and suppliers' improvement
- Ensuring the optimal cost level in terms of necessary materials, tools, services for the operation of the company : achieving costs' targets and setting cost saving actions, observing the market and ensuring consistency of market data and suppliers' information , integrating suppliers to achieve optimizations
- Optimizing the number of suppliers and improving payment terms : reducing the number of invoices and improving company Cash flow
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Business / Materials Management or Logistics required with a preference for an MBA or Purchasing School.
- 8-10 years Purchasing experience in Automotive industry sector or mass production manufacturing environment
- Prior experience as Plant Purchasing Manager is preferred
- Solid working knowledge of current IT technologies, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint , knowledge of SAP
- Fluent German and English is required. Fluent in French is a plus
- Managerial skills and ability present projects to upper management
