Due to the reorganization program and development opportunities they are looking for professional Plant Purchasing Lead for their operation in Wiesbaden.
Mission
Reporting to the Plant Purchasing Manager you will be mostly responsible for:
- Ensuring the necessary materials, tools, services for the operation of the company:
- sourcing
- keeping contact with suppliers, negotiation with existing and new suppliers in Coordination with Commodity Managers
- develop contracts with Commodity managers. Implementation and regular review of Contracts. - Ensuring good quality and on-time delivery of the supplied products
- achieving budget targets of suppliers PPM and OTD
- co-coordinating quality activity of suppliers
- managing suppliers' audit and suppliers' improvement - Ensuring the optimal cost level in terms of necessary materials, tools, services for the operation of the company
- achieving costs' targets and setting cost saving actions
- observing the market and ensuring consistency of market data and suppliers' information
- integrating suppliers to achieve optimizations - Optimize the number of suppliers and improve payment terms
- reducing the number of invoices
- Improve company Cash flow - Managing of $70 million spend (10 major commodities)
The requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Business / Materials Management or Logistics required with a preference for an MBA or Purchasing School.
- 3-4 years of purchasing experience in Automotive industry sector
- Solid working knowledge of current IT technologies, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluent German and English is required. Fluent in French is a plus
- Knowledge of SAP
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to manage Supply Base in collaboration with multicultural Central Family Buyers. Efficiently implement Commodity strategies through the plant
