Due to the reorganization program and development opportunities they are looking for a Plant Purchasing Lead in Cuorgne (Torino).
Mission
Reporting to the Plant Manager (direct) and to the Business Unit Manager (indirect ) you will :
- Ensure the necessary materials, tools, services for the operation of the company:
- source, keep contact with suppliers, negotiate with existing and new suppliers in Coordination with Commodity Managers, develop contracts with Commodity managers. - Ensure good quality and on-time delivery of the supplied products
- achieve budget targets of suppliers PPM and OTD, co-coordinate quality activity of suppliers and manage suppliers' audit and suppliers' improvement - Ensure the optimal cost level in terms of necessary materials, tools, services for the operation of the company
- achieve costs' targets and setting cost saving actions ,observe the market and ensure consistency of market data and suppliers' information , integrate suppliers to achieve optimizations - Optimize the number of suppliers and improve payment terms
- reduce the number of invoices and improve company Cash flow - Rationalize and Benchmark PTSB EMEA Perishable tooling Supply base
- Manage $17 million spend (5 major commodities : ferrous, MRO, professional services, facility services and perishable tooling)
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Business / Materials Management or Logistics required with a preference for an MBA or Purchasing School.
- 5-7 years of purchasing experience in Automotive industry sector
- Solid working knowledge of current IT technologies, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluent Italian and English is required. Good knowledge of German is a plus
- Knowledge of SAP
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to manage Supply Base in collaboration with multicultural Central Family Buyers. Efficiently implement Commodity strategies through the plant
- Excellent Negotiation and Analytical skills
