Mission
- Effective supplier management assuring good quality and on-time delivery of the supplied products (secondary packaging & raw materials).
- Cost control – budget management and leading/ participation in cross functional savings projects
Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of Senior Purchasing Manager, will be in charge of leading and controlling the purchasing of secondary packaging and raw materials for factories located in Poland. You will be also leading and /or participating in the international/ regional cost savings projects, you will present project status and results to the Management Board. You will be mostly responsible for:
- Supplier sourcing (local/ international), benchmarking studies
- Supplier selection assuring best price and quality level
- Negotiations
- Supplier evaluation – conducting periodical suppliers audits together with quality department representatives
- Supplier management and supplier development processes
- Effective leadership and management of purchasing projects (local/ international)
- Identifying and achieving cost savings efforts and reports savings on a consistent basis
- Ensuring the optimal cost level:
- achieving costs' targets and setting cost saving actions
- observing the market and ensuring consistency of market data and suppliers' information
- integrating suppliers to achieve optimizations
- Risk management
- Ensuring good quality and on-time delivery of the supplied products:
- achieving budget targets of suppliers
- co-coordinating quality activity of suppliers
- managing suppliers' audit and suppliers' improvement
- Preparation of detailed costs analysis (global perspective) – group level cooperation
- Assuring of alternative supply sources
- Cooperation with law department in preparation of suppliers contracts
- Assuring proper stocks – cooperation with logistics department in order to agree optimum parameters for material supply
- Supporting short term/ long term purchasing planning process
- Provide input to any planning / supply decisions that may have a commercial impact.
- Maintain close relationships with planning department - improvement of material management process
- Preparation of up-to –date supply chain management projects in line with company strategic goals
Requirements
- Higher degree - preferably MA in Economics, Finance
- 2-3 years of working experience in procurement within international environment , preferable FMCG sector
- Experience in purchasing of secondary packaging and raw materials categories
- Proven track record in delivering results
- Understanding of manufacturing and the cost drivers
- Experience in budget management and managing cost cutting projects
- Experience working with cross functional teams
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to distill, synthesize, and draw conclusions on large amounts of data
- Strong negotiation skills
- Assertiveness
- Fluent English, native Polish obligatory
- IT skills: Microsoft Office, preferable: SAP, LN, e-sourcing
- Very good communication skills – ability to communicate effectively and concisely in oral and written messages
- Ability to adjust to changing variables in the workplace
- Ability to generate innovative ideas and original solutions
- Ability to maintain composure and productivity under pressure
- Ability to operate proactively, anticipating possible problems, opportunities and challenges
- Very good Presentation skills
