Mission
Under the responsibility of the Head of Procurement PET and performs, you lead the Preforms (rigid plastics) and PET flexible film category. You manage strategic business relationships and internal process efficiencies. With the Head of procurement, you develop long-term procurement strategies and negotiating & executing those strategies for the assigned part for a total spend of 400 millions euros for plastic Preforms and PET flexible across the world.
Responsibilities
- You develop an effective PET preform and PET flexible procurement sourcing strategy that leverages the Center of Excellence and the best practices.
- You lead negotiation of best in class of complex agreements with local/regional and global suppliers encompassing key enablers such as separation of resin and conversion.
- You lead the development, implementation and alignment of sourcing strategies and supplier network capabilities to achieve broad business objectives.
- You manage strategic suppliers to foster Innovation and Renovation, and continuous improvement and you evaluate supplier capabilities. You also develop sourcing intelligence to evaluate sources for new technologies.
- You deliver business improvement initiatives that lead cost savings programs and you implement business strategies that directly affect company financial results and growth plans.
- You maintain and provide a current understanding of industry best practices and technology trends to team members and business partners.
- You manage governance and control programs to ensure business continuity and protect company assets
- You develop both internal and external partnerships critical to meeting objectives
- You contribute with the team to define Continuous Improvement initiatives
- You ensure organizational financial goals are met, including budgets and savings.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Packaging, Business, Finance or related fields required. MBA preferred, plus 5+ years experience in packaging/operations in consumer products
- Extensive experience with PET resin, Preform manufacturing and bottle blowing techniques and equipment.
- Broad and deep understanding of purchasing function and procedures
- Understanding of e-sourcing methodologies
- Strong leadership, self-motivated and able to work in cross-cultural environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence others
- Problem solving and strategic thinking ability

Languages
Excellent written & spoken English (French and Spanish are recommended)
