In this entrepreneurship spirit and a willingness to structure its development, our customer is looking for a Lead Buyer Transportation.
Mission
Reporting to the VP Procurement in the Mediterranean SBU, you will be responsible for a spend pool exceeding 100 M€/yr. You will be the "gate keeper" for the purchasing strategy and supplier management for this commodity. As responsible for supplier selection, supplier management and supplier development processes at the SBU level for all Transportation activities you will be the entry point to the Group for the suppliers.
Requirements
- In accordance with the Purchasing Policy you lead cost reduction initiatives and achieve saving objectives as defined by VP Purchasing&Logistic, share and communicate the purchasing strategy to internal customers and stockholders in the countries, in order to assure that the agreement implementation is in place in each country.
- With the support of Transport Team, you build, maintain and improve a competitive supplier panel in order to improve the results. You negotiate and implement frame contracts with selected suppliers for the region in order to globalize the business into the same framework, having the best prices.
- You define and monitor suppliers’ commitment through KPI's and Quality review in order to secure supplier quality development.
- You lead cost reduction initiatives and achieve saving objectives as defined by VP Purchasing.
Profile
- Bachelor degree in Business and/ Economic or Engineering. Master degree in Purchasing appreciated.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Procurement Specialist with proven negotiation and vendor management results in Transportation services.
- Project experience within a multicultural environment will be especially considered.
- Commodities/Categories Management in a multicultural environment
- Capacity to set priorities in a complex and matrix environment
- Relationship Management: ability to connect and work with people from different cultures and levels of responsibility (Management, peers, colleagues, team members, authorities, partners, suppliers)
