Our Client

World leading manufacturer of the automotive sector with renowned brand is looking for a Category Manager to reinforce its Procurement Management Team.

Mission

Reporting to the Associate Purchasing Director EMEA, you will be responsible for a budget of over 200 M$/yr.

Responsibilities

1. Takes leadership & selective ownership for strategic supplier relationships. You are responsible for developing and improving the purchasing organization’s design and structure and you provide a strategic and tactical expertise of your commodity at regional level.
2. Owns maintaining robust long-term pipeline of savings initiatives across commodities. You are responsible for and you facilitate the accomplishment of savings programs. You supervise the accuracy and updating of procurement data in the company’s data management systems (plant SAP etc.)
3. Tracks & accelerates regional savings programs, removes obstacles. You participate, document and execute strategies that align with the global & EMEA Raw Material OGSM.(Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measurements).
4. Owns ensuring executive level stakeholder buy-in and support for commercial strategies. You establish strong interactions with internal stakeholder at both international and regional level and more specifically with regional QTEC, Manufacturing and Marketing. You establish strong links with the Raw material scheduling and planning organization and you coordinate logistic needs between suppliers, regional and plant Raw Material Planners.
5. You are a member of the new product development team and cost down projects’ team.

Profile

• University degree or equivalent business experience/ analytical capability
• Between 5 and 10 years of strategic procurement experience related to Materials gained across different commodities and organizations  (international exposure being a must)
• Dynamic team leader able to mobilize remote multicultural resources.
• Convincing communicator at all levels, across regions & functions.
• Advanced presentation skills.
• Entrepreneurial mind set, out of the box thinker, strategic. A change accelerator.
• Strong initiative taker with follow through to execution.
• English fluent, other languages an asset
• Travel as needed: Frequently in Luxembourg & Germany – Occasionally all over Europe, Middle East & Africa – 2x / year in USA.
