Our client is one of the world’s leaders in the beverage industry with multiple legendary brands. Through a global network of distributors and brewers, the company has wide international presence. In order to contribute in his objective of building a long-term future of its brands and business though the purchasing organization, our client is looking for a “Global Category Buyer for Travels”.

Responsibilities
You report to Global Category Leader HR within Group Purchasing, with following responsibilities:
- Lead contracting and management of TCM program on Travel & Expenses
- Implement new global common process & IT tools to control expenses
- Negotiate new travel deals with global suppliers (incl. Hotels).
- Operating in cross-functional and multinational teams with HR directors, managers and specialists, legal, and Operating Company (OpCo) representatives, you are the leading procurement specialist, delivering a substantial contribution to the pre-defined and agreed objectives.
- Contribute to the development of specific parts of the governance structure (e.g. OpCo SLA).
- Development and implementation of the category sourcing and purchasing strategy.
- Support the Global Category Director in annual setting of SMART targets for the relevant buyers.
- Secure optimum results through leading the tender-, negotiation and supplier selection process for the category
- Lead the management of relationships with all suppliers for the category
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders in the OpCo and Group functions.
- Independently manage category improvement projects.
- Support the Global Category Director in managing the category structure and staffing.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master Degree in business, financial, commercial, economical or technical discipline.
- Demonstrated multi-cultural experience through management of international relationships.
- Depending on job level, at a minimum >3 years in purchasing roles in an international environment.
- Proven record in this area is preferred.
- Key competencies: Decision making, achieving results, creating customer value, ensuring dialogue, managing yourself, coaching people, creating successful teams, innovating, mobilizing the organization.
- Being mobile/frequent travel
Language
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Conditions
Attractive salary package depending on profile and experience. Local contract (depending on the location).
Location
Working location for new team members will be flexible, with Zoeterwoude (NL) as the central hub. Group purchasing team members will live locally, use OpCo office space, but report centrally and participate in multi-national projects & tasks.
