Our Client
Our client is one of the world’s leaders in the beverage industry with multiple legendary brands. Through a global network of distributors, the company has wide international presence. In order to contribute in the objective of building a long-term future of its brands and business through the purchasing organization, our client is looking for a “Global Category Buyer for Cars”.
Mission
The total category includes Car lease & associated expenses. The objective is to secure multi-year uninterrupted supply of business services at competitive cost and quality + lead contracting on major HR related tenders, plus Development of HR related Purchasing and Contract Management function worldwide.
Responsibilities
Reporting to Global Category Leader HR within Group Purchasing, main responsibilities are:
- Lead contracting of Car leasing, plus implementation of global/regional framework agreements (including components like insurance, fuel, fleet management and rental cars).
- Contribute to the development of specific parts of the governance structure (e.g. Operating Company SLA).
- Development and implementation of the category sourcing and purchasing strategy.
- Support the Global Category Director in annual setting of SMART targets for the relevant buyers.
- Secure optimum results through leading the tender-, negotiation and supplier selection process for the category.
- Secure availability of contracts for all category deals done by Group Purchasing through leading the contracting process. Call for Legal support if and when necessary.
- Regularly report financial performance for the category to the Global Category Director.
- Lead the management of relationships with all suppliers for the category
- Creating the Personal Development Plan, and on this basis working on the development targets formulated in this plan throughout the year
- Support the Global Category Director in managing the category structure and staffing.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders in the Operating Company and Group functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master Degree in business, financial, commercial, economical or technical discipline.
- Demonstrated multi-cultural experience through management of international relationships.
- Depending on job level, at a minimum >3 years in purchasing roles in an international environment.
- Proven record in this area is preferred.
- Key competencies: Decision making, achieving results, creating customer value, ensuring dialogue, managing yourself, coaching people, creating successful teams, innovating, mobilizing the organization.
- Being mobile/frequent travel
Language
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Conditions
Attractive salary package depending on profile and experience. Local contract (depending on the location).
Location
Working location for new team members will be flexible, with Zoeterwoude (NL) as the central hub. Group purchasing team members will live locally, use Operating Company office space, but report centrally and participate in multi-national projects & tasks.
