Despite the current environment, the company is expending Sales and searches for further development which obviously will offer additional Career development opportunities. Its Purchasing Organization is going through a deep reorganization and several opportunities are available, among them a Commodity Manager SG&A, Marketing and Travel EMEA.
Mission
- Reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager Global IS, Telecom, SG&A, Professional Services and Travel, the Commodity Manager manages and controls the purchasing efforts of SG&A including office supplies, paper, catalogs and merchandising, marketing and Travel.
- Due to the nature of the travel Industry, the Commodity Manager will also be responsible for following up on all travel-related issues for Europe and ROW.
- Provides training on the Travel tool and policy.
- Responsible for communicating the Travel Policy and processes, for analyzing travel data and rolling out the company’s Travel Provider’s solution to additional facilities, as deemed fit.
- Identifies and achieves cost savings efforts and reports MCS savings on a consistent, monthly basis.
- Improves payment terms, manages supplier panel reduction and provides reporting to senior managers as requested.
- Responsible for managing and providing strategy and roadmaps on the processes related to his/her function.
- Participates in business reviews with key suppliers and communicates results to the Senior Vice-President of Purchasing.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Business / Materials Management or Logistics required with a preference for an MBA or Purchasing education
- Min 5 years experience in Purchasing/Procurement and / or a Materials Management related field with a preference towards high volume manufacturing related industries.
- Fluent German and English is required.
- Due to the high visibility of this role that interacts with Senior-Level Executives, excellent communication skills are a must.
- Excellent Negotiation and Analytical skills
