Our Client
is the world's largest producer of household products and a major producer of consumer healthcare and personal products. It has operations in over 60 countries and its products are sold in over 180 countries.
Mission
Your primary role is to manage national and international co-packers. The position is also responsible for managing projects to support new products launches, cost reduction programs and management of net working capital.
You have to contribute on development and implementation of purchasing strategy for particular portfolio, providing input for the budget creation and its execution.
Responsibilities
- Support Vendor Development initiatives for launch of new products and projects in conjunction with global and local buyers, packaging engineering, planning cell, marketing and R&D.
- Project management of new products to be sourced in time and without issue to meet launch deadlines
- Consistently benchmarks key pricing points (labor, yield, raw, and pack materials) and provides analytical support derived from operational, technical and financial inputs to identify leverage points for negotiations.
- Contract negotiation including development of local contracts
- Running aggressively cost saving initiatives
- Development and implements significant product cost reduction both through squeeze (cost out) effort and manufacturing process improvements.
- Reporting of cost savings and ensures price changes are reconciled in the purchasing/accounting systems.
- Giving input to supplier Co-packer performance through cross-functional reviews (procurement, planning, packaging and quality) and ensure delivery of quarterly action plan
- Work closely with external manufacturing planner towards achievement of excellent customer service through timely production of high quality products at the optimal MOQ and distributed on time to appropriate distribution center.
Qualifications
- Must have 1 to 5 years of professional experience in consumer product, food, personal care.
- Must have a BAs degree in engineering, business, or other appropriate field, ideally with a specialty in purchasing or supply chain management.
- Ability to work under multicultural environment, ideally previous exposure working in a broad-based multinational company.
