Our client manufactures and sells sports and leisurewear items. It is a shoe and athletic company renowned and coveted by consumers to be one of the leaders sports brand worldwide. The company is continuously improving its best practices in the area of Purchasing and is currently hiring an “Indirect Procurement Manager” for the Europe, Middle East & Africa Regions.

Mission

The procurement manager develops leads, executes, and manages the acquisition planning process for indirect (non-product) spend at a senior level for Central and Eastern Europe geography spanning across all territories within this geography. He/she manages marketing, communication and all the general expenses purchases for the EMEA regions.

Requirements

Pro-actively looking for cost savings opportunities within the head office, country retail organization and subsidiaries by analyzing spend patterns and the local supply base.
Drives in multifunctional sourcing teams and leads/supports key projects identified by the team – with the budget owners. Think beyond geographical boundaries and local needs and where applicable, lift on regional, European and global deals.

Continue to work actively within existing account management relationships (internal departments) to look for improvement projects, e.g. benchmark, supplier performance management.
Effectively renew, tender and renegotiate existing contracts.
Develops new supplier relationships and embeds contracts into day to day operations.
Deliver savings as agreed with EMEA Procurement, Finance and the business.
Execute the company’s strategic sourcing process and best practices

Initiate and facilitate ‘hands-free’ ordering processes for existing and new contracts.
Establish operational sourcing procedures with the business for local purchases where a hands-free solution has not been put into place.
Point of contact for EMEA Procurement to co-ordinate and monitor the process of electronically connecting suppliers with the P2P system

Identify and (coach business stake holders to) implement tools and templates of the Procurement Competency center. Examples are: contract templates, DIY Toolkit expansion, trainings, etc. Serve as a role model to procurement peers.
Ensure that local procurement practices adhere to the agreed internal controls. Report on progress by metrics to country management and EMEA Procurement.
Monitors and manages supplier delivery performance, including setting KPIs, measuring success and continuously reviewing service levels. In addition is the point of contact for concerns, complaints and feedback and accountable for ensuring corrective action
