Our Client

World leading manufacturer of the Consumer Goods sector with renowned brand is looking for a Category Manager to reinforce its Procurement Management Team EMEA

Mission

Reporting to the Associate Purchasing Director EMEA, you will be responsible for a spend pool of over 100 M$/yr

Requirements

• You define, develop and execute the Category Planning & Strategy in alignment with the Procurement and Stakeholder functional leads for the warehousing, domestic distribution and truck freight categories for the southern Europe area (Italy, France,  Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Slovenia, South Africa)
• You challenge the existing processes, organization and contracts and drive the change in order to maximize either cost avoidance and cost savings of the categories
• You build a strong team spirit among your network of  procurement people.
• You establish strong interactions with internal stakeholder at the regional and local level (Supply Chain) in order to get recognition and their buy-in for all cost-avoidance and cost-savings initiatives launched.
• You are responsible for and you facilitate the accomplishment of savings programs and consequently handle projects with a very tight planning

Profile

• University degree or equivalent business experience/ analytical capability
• 5-10 years of hands-on logistics and strategic procurement experience on the domain gained across complex and multi national organizations.
• Dynamic team leader able to mobilize remote multicultural resources.
• Convincing communicator at all levels with a real sense of drive.
• Strategic thinker with good project and change management skills
• English fluent, French, Spanish or Italian being a plus
• Travel as needed: Frequently over Europe.
