Our Client

Is seeking a Category Manager - IT Hardware and Software for an important mission with a world leader in consumer products.

Mission

The responsibility of the role is to manage both mature and developing category portfolios, within the procurement team, with one or more customers within the IT category.
Support the development of sustainable and innovative sourcing strategies which will be delivered through collaborative engagement across our customers. This requires a combination of proven category and Procurement experience in France alongside a customer facing capability.

Key Accountabilities

Detailed knowledge of the IT consultancy and services market for the category :

Ability to work autonomously, develop relationships across the customer base and internally as required to create a seamless approach to service delivery.
To work closely with and lead other members of the team to ensure a professional service is delivered to customers.
To conduct commercial negotiations on behalf of the customer taking into account the culture and expectations of the customer.
To create RFP documents and assist in contract development
To design, lead and implement appropriate category strategies for the area of responsibility
To ensure that selected suppliers meet the performance objectives set
To provide feedback from your customer on the future business needs of your category and applicability of the strategy
To identify and implement process improvements within the category
To develop and publish related market conditions, trends and intelligence to underpin sourcing strategies

Results focused
Ability to demonstrate experience in category knowledge and credibility with subject / market expert suppliers and customers
High level of analytical and numerical skill
Good communicator
Able to work autonomously
In depth knowledge of category management for the service area and knowledge of the French market
Experience of leading and implementing a broad range of category projects, in managing supplier contracts, and ensuring service performance and reporting within a medium to large multi-site organisation

Language

Fluent French and English
