Our Client
Is seeking a Category Manager HR/professional services for an important mission with a world leader in consumer products.
Mission
The responsibility of the role is to manage both mature and developing category portfolios, within the procurement team, with one or more customers within the category.
Support the development of sustainable and innovative supply strategies which will be delivered through collaborative engagement across customers. This requires a combination of proven category and procurement experience alongside a customer facing capability.
Key Accountabilities
- Work closely with other members of the team to ensure a professional service is delivered to customers.
- Conduct commercial negotiations.
- Design, lead and implement appropriate category strategies for the area of responsibility
- Ensure that selected suppliers meet the performance objectives set
- Take responsibility and accountability for achieving savings targets
- Lead effective and efficient engagements with key sponsors and stakeholders to ensure our performance meets their expectations or agreed standards
- Support the category lead in the implementation category strategy for your category at your customer and ensure compliance
- Provide feedback from your customer on the future business needs of your category and applicability of the strategy
- Identify and implement process improvements within the category
- Develop and publish related market conditions, trends and intelligence to underpin sourcing strategies
Profile
- The successful candidate will be experienced in the procurement and management of HR services such as temping agencies, training, professional services - encompassing supplier sourcing and contract implementation. The candidate will have a strong expertise in contract labour.
- Experience of leading and implementing a broad range of category projects, in managing supplier contracts, and ensuring service performance and reporting within a medium to large multi-site organisation
- Successful track record of leading complex negotiations
- High level of analytical and numerical skill
- Proven track record of delivery in a fast-paced procurement function.
- Good communicator
- Excellent customer facing skills
- Able to work autonomously
- Results focused
