Rolls-Royce Regional Purchasing Office in Cracow is looking for an experienced and talented persons responsible for managing purchasing processes within selected direct purchasing categories (fabrications, castings, machining).
Key accountabilities
- Implementing global Supplier and Commodity strategies as designated, that will drive long-term productivity improvements within business-line/commodity group.
- Leading contract negotiations for single parts and where designated whole packages.
- Leading cost reduction initiatives and coordinating with Quality and Manufacturing where required.
- Maintaining direct purchasing sourcing and resourcing activities for the designated purchasing categories.
- Leading and coordinating supplier relationships and strategies within the designated external buyer supply chain.
- Budget planning and adherence for designated direct purchasing categories.
- Utilizing the ERP systems or other purchasing systems and e-commerce in an optimal way to maximize internal transactional efficiency, minimizing total costs.
- Contributing to improvement and sharing best practice across supply chain and purchasing teams.
- Providing recommendations to the Global Commodity Leader on sourcing decisions.
- Ensuring that all purchase documents are issued and maintained as appropriate, including the required customer and governmental regulations.
Qualifications and experience:
- Degree in engineering or business administration
- Strong negotiations capabilities
- Understanding of the cost drivers and total cost of acquisition impact regarding selected commodity groups
- Strong commodity expertise would be an advantage (fabrications, machining, castings)
- Proven track record of sourcing and re-sourcing (including LCC sourcing)
- At least 3 years of experience in direct purchasing/supply chain management preferably in marine / automotive / power & energy / aerospace industry
- Ability to work in a team and to communicate globally
- Willingness to travel regionally and internationally
- Excellent written and spoken English
